If you can't afford expensive cat shampoo, the best thing to do is use human conditioner. It is still not the greatest thing to use, but if you wash your cat more than two weeks apart, it should be okay. If he/she starts to get flaky skin or rashes, stop using it and get the cat shampoo. pet shampoo. human shampoo has a different ph balance that could irritate the cat's skin
No use the cat shampoos, you know, the ones that say CAT on them.
