this may sound odd but it won't hurt anything and is worth a try.
years ago an old trick for ';setting'; the color in new clothes was to rinse them in a solution of vinegar and water. It may work with your hair dye. The vinegar won't hurt you and some people use it anyway as a healthy rinse for hair.
Just put about a cup of either white or apple cider vinegar into a quart of warm water and keep dumping it over your head. Pat dry and the ';salad'; smell will dissipate as your hair dries. It cannot hurt you or your hair at all and may do the trick. How soon before my blue hair dye stops turning my shampoo blue?
Sadly, it's going to keep turning your shampoo blue until it fades into a gross green-blonde colour. You'll need to touch it up every 3 weeks to every month or so. :( Sorry. Even dye that's supposed to be permanent is not always permanent. Blue fades faster than colours like, black for instance, it's just the science of it, so there's really nothing you can do about it. IF you're doing your hair dying on your own, the next time you dye your hair with blue or red or any other unnatural hair colour, mix equal parts of white vinegar and water and comb it through your hair after rinsing the dye off. Then shampoo it regularly. The vinegar will raise the pH level of your hair, increasing its permanence.
i have my hair blue or had it but it only washed off in the shower the first 3 showers and i wash my hair everyday the lady that painted mine told me when i re-dye it to use the hairdryer for about 5 mins after i put some more dye on and then shower it kind of helped me so give it a try =]]]]
Unfortunately it's going to keep getting lighter and you'll have to re-dye it eventually. It sucks =/
