What is the blue tint shampoo (pink bottle) for color treated hair?

I color my hair regularly, and my hairdresser told me to use John Freda shampoo for blondes everyday to lock the color in. But, she also said to use a ';blue tint shampoo'; in the pink bottle or something once a week to help maintain color even better. She said old ladies use it. the color blue will brighten the blond color of your hair. some blonde's tend to get a reddish tint, or that warm blonde color, where the blue will cancel out the red and give you a cool blond color. i take it you are going for the cool blond color of blonde,or blondest of blonde or he should have never suggested the shampoo. if you look up the color wheel you will see what colors tend to neutralize the others.





i know there is a brand called shimmer lights by Clairol, you can get at a beauty supply store. also nexxus makes simple silver.What is the blue tint shampoo (pink bottle) for color treated hair?

The blue shampoo takes out the yellowing that normally happens with white or blonde hair. You can get it at Sally Beauty Supply or Walmart. Its a cheap way to maintain your blonde.
